Check a screenshot or photo

For example an incident or accident form, a roster or a screenshot of an email or message. The picture is read on your device and is never uploaded. We'll cover every name and private detail with a label.

Who you'll be talking to

A registered ECE teacher who now works as an employment advocate for ECE staff, and only acts for employees, never for centres or owners.

What I can help with

• Pay and pay parity: checking your step, and asking for back pay
• Employment agreements, before you sign or when something changes
• Performance improvement plans and warnings
• Disciplinary and investigation meetings, including coming with you
• Personal grievances, mediation and the Employment Relations Authority

How it works

1. Get in touch and tell me briefly what's happening. Leave out names. You can use the contract and email check to clean anything you send.
2. I'll tell you plainly whether I can help, and what it would cost, before any work starts. My fees are fixed, not hourly.
3. If you go ahead, I'll work through it with you, step by step.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter in the pay check, and any text or picture you check for private details, is worked out on your own phone or computer. It isn't sent to us or anyone else, and it isn't saved. When you close the page, it's gone.

What we collect

If you sign up to hear when pay parity rates change, we collect your email address. Nothing else from the site is sent with it. The sign up form is run by Formspree, a service based in the United States, which stores your address and sends it to our inbox.

If you email us or message us on Facebook, we receive whatever you choose to send. We use it only to reply to you and help with what you've asked about. Messages sent through Facebook are also handled by Meta under its own privacy policy. The site itself doesn't load anything from Facebook. It only links to our page.

How we use it

We only use your email address to tell you when pay parity rates or rules change, or to reply to you. We don't sell it, share it with employers, or add you to anything else. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing our contact address. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Other services the site uses

The site is hosted by Cloudflare and loads its fonts from Google. If you check a picture, a text reading tool is loaded from jsDelivr so the picture can be read on your device. Like any website, these services can see your device's internet address when the page loads. None of them receive what you type or the pictures you check.
